Hi again! A little more about me: I have a strong background in both science and the arts, with a passion for science education rooted in visual storytelling. I have a BS in Marine Biology from UC Santa Cruz, and a Professional Certificate in Museum Studies from CU Boulder. I am currently working toward a certificate in Science Illustration from the Science Illustration Distance Program, taught by Gretchen Halpert. I’ve worked professionally in museum collections, and spent several wonderful years as an aquarist at The Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy, Utah (Now called The Loveland Living Planet Aquarium). My illustration specialties include marine biology and oceanography, paleontology, and botany.

I strive to create interpretive illustrations that are not only informative, but are attractive and sophisticated as well. I believe both art and science are elevated through collaboration, and I take great pride from working within a team to tell the incredible stories of our natural world. I am happy to explore any science topic, and I'm happy to discuss commissions inspired by nature.

Recent clients include the University of California, Merced (Kim Lab); University of Cambridge, UK; North Carolina State University (Youngsteadt Lab - learn more about this great pollinator project here). I've also designed pages for two coloring books: Backyard Pollinators (buy it here) and All Along the Atlantic, (buy it here). I'd love to work with you on your next project or publication! Feel free to contact me for information. Check out my Instagram here
