About

Telling the incredible stories of our natural world

I am a professional illustrator with a strong background in both science and the arts, and a passion for science education rooted in visual storytelling. I have degrees in Marine Biology and Museum Studies, and I have 12 years of professional experience in natural history museum collections and aquarium animal husbandry. My subject matter specialties include marine biology and oceanography, zoology, evolution, paleontology, and botany.

I excel at research and discovery in any topic, and enjoy the challenge of untying complex ideas to create interpretive illustrations any readers or visitor can understand. I look forward to collaborating on zoo or aquarium signage and marketing, natural history exhibit signage and marketing, science education content publishing, primary research publications, and anywhere else you need a beautiful image to complete your story!

My work can be found in museums, aquariums, research publications, and one TEDx Talk. (Watch it here!)

Recent clients include the University of California, Merced (Kim Lab); University of Cambridge, UK; North Carolina State University (Youngsteadt Lab - learn more about this great pollinator project here). I've also designed pages for two coloring books: Backyard Pollinators (buy it here) and All Along the Atlantic, (buy it here). I'd love to work with you on your next project or publication! Feel free to contact me for information.
(I can legally work in the US and the EU.)
